Martin Crewes



Martin Crewes is a highly experienced performer, having performed in lead roles in various musicals internationally. Since completing his training at WAAPA in 1990, Martin has played the character Marius in the hit musical ‘Les Miserables’ both on the West End as well as on tour with the Cameron Mackintosh Organisation. He performed in ‘Oh What a Night’, ‘The Man from Snowy River Arena Spectacular’, ‘Hair’, ‘The Woman in White’.

More recently Martin played Captain Von Trapp in ‘The Sound of Music’ which toured internationally. He also played the character Pasha/ Strelnikov in Doctor Zhivago directed by Tony Award winner, Des McAnuff. Martin won a Sydney Theatre Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role for his performance in Doctor Zhivago.

Martin Crewes career has also extended into Film and Television. He has made appearances in ‘Crownies’, ‘Heartbeat’, ‘Neighbours’, and ‘Flying Doctors’.
