Lisa Schouw



Lisa started out her creative life as a classical dancer in New Zealand. She was nominated for two ARIAs with her band Girl Overboard. Her other credits include co-devising and writing Singing Over the Bones for a sell out season of BSharp 2000 and The Stables in 2001. She directed and produced A Bit On the Side, a season of devised theatre in 2003 at the Side on Cafe, starred in Australian film Hungry Heart, is choreographer and performance coach for male chorus Sydney Harmony and teaches singing at NIDA and Actors Centre Australia.

Lisa's one woman show "The Other Woman:The Life and Music of Nina Simone" sold out at The Studio, Sydney Opera House and at the Adelaide Cabaret Festival. Lisa also works as a writer and researcher for television with credits including Channel 7's television special “Missing Pieces” (Producer - Anita Jacoby), researcher and assistant to the producer on the “Kevin Costner Meets Andrew Denton” special, senior researcher and associate producer for a Sydney Olympics documentary and for London Weekend Television “Surprise Surprise with Cilla Black” she was senior researcher and talent coordinator. She also worked as the writer for Channel 7's “Who Dares Wins” and most recently website coordinator for "Enough Rope" on the ABC.
