Francesca Savige



Francesca Savige graduated from the Queensland University of Technology with a BA in Theatre Studies as well as a BFA in Acting. She has since furthered her studies in Shakespeare at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London, and Shakespeare & Company in the USA. Francesca has worked professionally as an actor in numerous theatre productions including Away (national tour), The Importance of Being Earnest, The Female of the Species and The Crucible for the Queensland Theatre Company. Frankie is also a professional arts educator, director and theatre maker, having worked with primary students to adults, for Bell Shakespeare, ATYP, Queensland Theatre Company, shake & stir, Queensland University of Technology, Backbone Youth Arts, and Ubom! Theatre Company, South Africa.

Francesca has been awarded grants by Arts Queensland, and the Ian Potter Cultural Trust, and was the recipient of a 2010 Winston Churchill Fellowship to investigate Shakespeare and Community theatre in South Africa.
